When you here someone asking about an animal that go farthest without drinking water, you would think that even a small kid would know the answer. But, I would like to ask you the same question and see if you can answer.


Can you name the animal that can go farthest without drinking water?

Your first answer would be Camel.

Camel:

Yes, they can survive for weeks without water, but it is not the animal that can live the longest without water. Actually, it maxes out at about 15 days. They need this ability in their desert environments.



Giraffe:

Giraffes can actually last longer without drinking water than camels! They will go up to 3 weeks without a drink. When they do drink, they’ve been known to down 12 gallons in one sitting.


Kangaroo Rat:

Believe it or not, this little animal can last longer without drinking water than any other animal. They go their whole lives (for about 3-5 years) without drinking any!




Well, every living being needs to have water to survive. They can just go for a very long time without drinking it.
